Nurturing Parenting Classes

Virtual Nurturing Parenting Classes Available

Parenting Classes are in an intercession break during the months of August and December.

Those wishing to enroll into parenting sessions may contact Leticia Lopez – Programs Manager by calling (530) 934-6882. Please leave a message. If she is with another client and unable to answer – she will return calls within 48 hrs.

Little Learners Playgroups

Summer Playgroups:

Playgroups are now OPEN!

All Glenn County Families are welcome to enroll in Glenn County sponsered playgroups.

Every Tuesday and Thursday

10am-12pm

Tuesdays: Sycamore Park (walking/skate park) - Willows

Thursdays: First 5 Nurturing Nest- 1035 West Wood Street- Willows

Facemasks and hand sanitizing are required indoors at First 5.

All children and adults are required to be fever and symptom free, 24 hrs prior to attending First 5 gatherings.

First 5 Glenn County offers opportunity to participate in the design of quality, early mental health services. Programs include engagement activities supporting skill development of children, parents, caregivers, and teachers. All parents and child play interactions will grow healthy socialization, literacy, and creative skills. 

First 5 Glenn County curriculum for the Little Learners Program was adopted by families and  agency partners within your community. This curriculum provides parent education coupled with individual, parent/child interactive sessions promoting positive experiences for families parenting their children in effective and evidence based ways. Group sessions have the opportunities to customize topics determined by the parents' and caregivers' immediate concerns.There is a strong underlying component that promotes increased community and neighborhood involvement. First 5 Program staff provide case management, supportive referrals and short term coaching for families in crisis.
